Land Acknowledgement

I am humbled to live and make medicine in Tio'tià:ke, aka Montréal, on the unceded territory of the Kanien’kehá:ka. Tio'tià:ke is a traditional gathering place for many First Nations, including the Kanien’kehá:ka of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Huron/Wendat, the Abenaki, and the Anishinaabeg peoples.

As a white settler herbalist, I am committed to an ongoing dialogue surrounding the consequences of colonialism and white supremacy, and acknowledge the parts of my herbal knowledge base that originate from Indigenous knowledge and wisdom that was stolen, erased, or silenced in the ongoing colonization of these lands.
